Welcome to HomeStep! 

The Homelessness Project and the Self Managed Housing Program have merged, and together the new program will serve more people using fewer resources!  HomeStep serves families, singles and youth by combining the strengths of both programs. 

The name HomeStep exemplifies our practice of joining the homeless where they are on their journey toward a home of their own and a job to support them.  We encourage each difficult step along the way with skills and resources to overcome the barriers in their path away from homelessness.  Participants learn to overcome life’s roadblocks: domestic violence, English as a second language, mental illness, health care, child care and much more.  

HomeStep is a program of the Church Council of Greater Seattle, a 501(c) (3) non-profit agency.  We select individuals and families and provide services with absolutely no regard to religious beliefs or affiliations.
