The HomeStep Mission is to provide safe, supportive housing by giving participants the skills and resources they need to become self reliant and to leave homelessness permanently.

HomeStep offers 88 units of subsidized housing to individual adults and youth and single parent homeless families in crisis.  Our housing units are provided by church partners and affordable housing communities.  In addition to housing, HomeStep provides participants with benefit assistance and emotional support as they stabilize their lives and pursue work or educational opportunities.

In addition to our dedicated staff of 17, HomeStep is supported by a committed Advisory Board, and our housing partners. Together, we’re making a difference in the lives of more than 400 individuals, including more than 200 children, throughout King County.

HomeStep is a program of the Church Council of Greater Seattle, a 501(c)(3) non-profit agency.  HomeStep does not advocate for religious beliefs or practices, nor does it restrict program participation on the basis of religious beliefs.
